Early Childhood Education

We proudly announce that our preschool has earned a Colorado Shines Level 5 Certification. A level five-star rating insures that our program has reached the highest levels of quality care. You can trust Wellspring to provide your children with the finest care and education.

Wellspring Catholic Academy’s Early Childhood Education program offers Preschool and Pre-K for children ages 3 -5. Highlights of our program include Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, practical life and creative curriculum, and high-quality brain and social development.

We follow the Archdiocese of Denver Catholic Schools curriculum for both programs.

Preschool (Age 3)

In our Preschool, children are given choices and an active role in how they learn, fostering independence and confidence. Our curriculum is engaging and designed to support each child’s growth, ensuring they feel capable and successful. The learning environment is safe, emotionally secure, and provides a strong sense of belonging. Surrounded by a loving and supportive atmosphere, our youngest students are well-prepared for school.

Following the Archdiocese of Denver’s Preschool Curriculum guidelines, preschoolers are introduced to various skills, including counting, shapes, colors, and days of the week. In addition to these educational activities, children engage in daily prayer and attend weekly Mass if they attend on Thursdays.

Pre-K (Age 4 by October 1)

In Pre-K, children learn best through play and discovery, which helps them develop social-emotional skills and foundational phonics for reading and writing. Our classroom environment is designed to nurture their developmental abilities, fostering confidence and preparing them to excel in Kindergarten and beyond. Students grow in their social-emotional and academic skills by interacting with classmates and engaging in guided activities, ensuring a well-rounded early education experience. Additionally, they participate in daily prayer and catechesis and attend weekly Mass if they are present on Thursdays.
